St. Michael Weighing Souls

This is an unusual comining of the iconography of the Madonna and Child with that of the Psychostasy. On the left, Satan raises one finger as he claims the souls as his own, while on the right Jesus raises two fingers in the blessing configuration. Though obscured by a lost patch in the fresco, Mary's left hand also seems to be pointing – to her son, as in Hodegetria images.
